Driving any car when under 25

I thought all insurers would insure you either fully comp, TFPT or just 3rd party ? it was your choice

Many I wasnt clear -

She is after a insurance policy that will allow her to drive any car that isnt owned / insured by her with the owners permission. Many companies do this but you are usually 3rd party and have to be over 25.

Its just so that she is able to drive my Escort now and again and maybe her grandmothers punto while she looks for a new car.

Royal, Sun & Alliance used to before merging....

my old firm used to insure us all 3rd party as it was easier and cheaper individually than specifically insuring any one person to any single fleet van (then lossing the employee's flexibilty when their van was out of commission or being serviced or being exchanged for a newer model), the bonus was that aslong as you didnt mind the basic 3rd party insurance the policies extended beyond work hours meaning we were all insured to drive any car at anytime......courtesy of our firm and at no expense to us :pancake: .

I was 21 when they first insured me and I asked if It would be possible to have a "all car" policy on me when I received the nod after being interveiwed for the job.... they used sun alliance then and said it wouldnt be any issue even tho the policies wernt business policies but private individually based ones.

didnt wanna know the costs....wasnt paying for it myself so didnt really care either :pancake: but least it gives you a good indication that its possible :thumb:

Bell.co.uk, I'm with them, it cost me £25 to be 3rd party on any other car. I think its gone up to £79 now, so if it is worth it go for it.

Also they are dirt cheap :D

Same, I used them when I had my Escort and they were the cheapest.

I had fully comp and they threw in the 'drive any car' thing. I was under the impression that a lot of companies offered this as long as you were fully comp.
