stevmo3691
that is what i have done to mine and i have also tinted the rear lights toothats on your Si - think it looks amazing not a huge fan of the RS2K wheels myself though. dont know why but they just seem dated and wrong. hence the GTI's on mine, soon to be swapped for mondeo 16's cheers but i prefer the rs wheels to the gti wheels and it will look alot better when i get the gti kit on it and get a few bits onf the body work sorted outeach to their own as they say love the mk1 btw. my dad said you should have got a RS shell, 2.0 pinto, paint it white with the blue decals and all the RS2000 bits, then sold it to him i would love an RS mk1 but they are stupid money now and it was my first car so i dont intend on getting rid of it at allgood on you need to keep some other escorts on the road rather than the scrap heap.never scrapping mine, just fix it

shawdreamer
Now usually Id read through a thread thoroughly that claims to have blown 3k on a 5dr escort. but Im feeling a tad lazy and just a tad confused as to how the feck you can have blown 3k yet from the pics Im seeing on ths thread.... I cant actually see were the 3k's gone??....infact unless you pay £50 for a tub of polyfiller everytime and atleast 2k for the car originally i just cant make sense of it??? stevmo3691
that it does. after i've done the work (and hopefully my skirts turn up) i will start a new thread as this is 15 pages of carp pretty much. i have quite a bit to go on including exhaust, wheels, brakes, splitter, skirts, spats, spoiler, digi dials (in 2 minds as to if i can be arsed to do the wiring), remote locking till i save up and get an alarm system, mondeo centre and some custom treats as well. cant wait to have time to do this also going to 'cut' the paintwork in hope of hiding some cratches caused by my cats walking over my car with claws (why i have a bee sting aerial - they chew normal ones)
stevmo3691
more parts arriving new front shocks and getting some wishbones from burton performance (quintin hazel ones) for less than £40 the pair they are based up the road from my grandparents so are easy to get to when i go see them. bought a few more bits that the end result of will remain a suprise but a clue is i have a new dash surround coming (will be selling both wood trim sections soon if anyone interested)i wont be painting it though. as i say - a suprise (mainly cos i dont know how well its going to work) side skirts still not turned up decided to put the standard spoiler on so just prepping it for painting now

stevmo3691
anything happened yet?there better be some substance to back up 15 pages of hype and rust repair there will be. nothings happened yet as i use my car daily so havent had time to do anything, but have 2 weeks off work starting next monday. 20th birthday present to myself is a mostly sorted scort body shop are so slow sending estimates out they are the ones near me that the local ford dealer uses for repairs so i reckon they are up to the job i assure you - the finished product will be worth the wait and i will start a new thread as this ones gone off a bit.all i managed to acomplish when i wasnt using the car (owing to medical ban) was dif wheels, GTI interior and dials, K&N, stereo and tinted rear lights. aswell as the getting it through an mot work. since i started using it i've changed plugs, leads, headlights, rear lights, interior, clock, switches, pedals, induction kit, rocker cover, grill, number plate surround (old one got snapped), rear door trims (colour coded now), stickers, eye level brake light, damaged interior trim, fog light bulbs (twice), re-sprayed wheels after they were grafiti'd (cant spell), fitted bluetooth kit and other small bits along the way. more things get done when you drive a car. my original plan for this car was maybe angel eyes, new radio, remote locking, 15" alloys, boot spoiler, tidy up body work, twin exit rear silencer and K&N (i loved one i had on my rover - not so good on scort)

stevmo3691
probably shouldnt say it, but buying more stuff -30 lowering coils and mondeo ST24 turbines pending me getting paypal address for coils and pics of the wheelsso that means i will probably be selling the 5 spoke mondeo 16's that need refurbing and tyres (as they have none fitted)I'm to impatient to re-furb another set of wheels as have to prep and paint spoiler, spats, skirts (when they turn up), RS2000 callipers front and rear, wing mirrors, airbox...got my work cut out ahead of me but i do have a day by day plan drawn up that allows for delays (works out that i have 4 days for suspension and brakes as it did with my rover but already taken the 'scorts stuff off once)
