JC
To be fair, i probably came across as abit of a cunt. He does Steve, but he is a decent chap, you just have to make sure you have your car keys secure.....
MikeM
'Long read' But the point still is, yours isnt a GTi anyway. You posted and asked for opinions, to which i gave. If you did not want them then i apologise and am abit confused as to why you asked for them. I haven't put you down, i just offered my opinions like you asked for? As for the rest of your post im assuming that wasnt aimed at me? As it has no relation to any comments i made.... oh and you can get P plate GTI's, just very rare. No you cant, the one's you are referring to are not proper GTi's as everyone is familar with. Ford just stuck a GTi badge on a couple of random Escorts, pretty much like you have done, this does not make a GTi. I suppose if you are trying to replicate one of these 'P plate GTi's' which came with no bodykit etc and looked just like every other Escort then you have done a pretty good job....But still it isnt one unfortunately. Mike there were a few full gti spec'd escorts on the P plate Really? i've only ever seen randomly spec'd ones dude. I'll take your word for it though because i'd say you had a better idea than me lol... There is a P reg GTi round the corner from the other halfs house. I didn't think it was a GTi until i had a quick look around it! Got all the GTi bits. Any updates on your car mate?

stevmo3691
i flogged my ghia front grill and put the GTI one on for free, even better i'll see how yours looks when you've done it, but as yours is black might be hard to tell. current thought is leave chrome or body colour. cost me a fiver (someone tried to just pull the original one off and snapped it, and my number plate 3 days after i got the car)

KNITERIDER
Looks ok,can I sudgest you shop around a bit more tho as eat you say you have spent and what you have got... You have paid hundreds over the odds! And since when did petrol money and oil class as project money? If so even my standard cars owe me more than £3000!!! After what you bought the car for and the welding I shouldn't think you would have paid more than £700 on all them bits. Either way good luck, il eat your spats if you spend 10grand on it tho let alone you keep it more than a year or so. Ps you can get 30 and 40mm lowering springs the former won't be to harsh.
