stevmo3691
lol, the most powerful built 1.8escort straight from ford. £3k an still looks shite halfords seen u comigno halford special here. only halfords items are few bulbs, the letters on boot (coming off now i think) and some primer and lacquer. may not look like much atm but in about a months time you will see the £3k. steering wheel, interior bits (secret for now), skirts, spats, spoiler, alloys, brakes, exhaust, paint work (hopefully), service, tracking, digi dials and more this is an example of my previous efforts at car modification. did have more plans for it but there were too many problems and i wanted an escort more http://i6.tagstat.com/image01/8/520f/0009001O58f.jpghttp://i5.tagstat.com/image03/8/520f/000_001O58f.jpg do have more pictures but they are stuck on my other computer which has decided to become an expensive paper weight right now she doesnt look as good as she should, but give me a month as i have 2 weeks off work from 8th march

stevmo3691
Rover looks tidy. cept for the dented sill on o/side, needed a respray as every panel was scratched and wouldnt polish out, synchro on 1st and 2nd was gone, brakes were too sharp with the turbo ones (still had drums on back) as this was a 214sei with solid small front discs - they looked mean behind the hairpins though took most mods off and sold it for £320 not enough demand for stripping
zetec2k6
Have you shown that car on Rovertech. I'm sure I've seen the Rover before. Nice work on the Escort, looking forward to see it with all the mods planned

Nice work on the Escort, looking forward to see it with all the mods planned nope. didnt even know about rovertech, was a member of rover200 owners club. thanks for approval on the escort btw, taken 'escort' and the 1.8 litre badges off now. looks good with just GTi 16Vwill take a pic - see what people think. wait for daylight though
stevmo3691
heres the back end without the 'escort' or '1.8 litre' badgeshttp://i0.tagstat.com/image04/8/520f/002j001O58f.jpg opinions?no comments of needs spoiler, exhaust, spats etc as i have those just not fitted (still need to paint spats and spoiler) and i know my rear number plate is bent. will be straightening that too. still trying to decide what to do with the numberplate surround though, black, colour code or leave as is. Lee_2f2f
Steve, you should have left the Escort badge on and took the GTi one off, seeing as it is not a GTi...... Leave the spoiler off, just go for the skirts & spats, I think the look without the spoiler is far better unless you get a spoiler like Liam has.
