Leave the spoiler off, just go for the skirts & spats, I think the look without the spoiler is far better unless you get a spoiler like Liam has.it may not be a gti but john did it on his finesse (he has a 2.0 though) and the escort needed to come off anyway as it wasnt straight. just trying to decide if i should put them back on. I'm using the MG ZS spoiler that was on fekyo's after i re-do his 'paint work' trying to be a bit imaginative with it, hence why i'm not saying whats happening inside other than a mondeo centre console as i gave that away earlier. rest will be a suprise only have aero wiper on back as i replaced the aero's on the front with better ones and the old rear was knackered so swapped it for that - free Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MIKE W Posted February 16, 2010 Share Posted February 16, 2010 also mines a GTI beater in terms of power But mine made 127bhp on the last proper Evo RR day I'd remove the GTi badge it looks silly, it isnt a GTi, it looks nothing like a GTi and even if it did look like one, everyone would know it wasnt one because its on a P plate and even after all that anyway, it isnt a proper GTi badge so looks even more blatently obvious that you have stuck it on. I'd also put the standard rear lights back on.... Good luck and enjoy your project though Im not quite sure where you £3k has gone though.... stevmo3691 Posted February 16, 2010 Author Share Posted February 16, 2010 doing work on mondeo centre console - leaving the result a suprise its not just badges and tinted lights. read the rest of what i have for it/done so far i love the colour and i need 5 doors as mine is a family car and my parents cant get in and out of back of a 3 door as they are both disabled. i have a bit more planned for the interior and a cunning plan for the front seats, but wont be cheap. needed to keep the ghia interior as when i had the GTI one my parents complained bout the seats being to firm and restrictive (not a problem i encountered, but as its for them too i have to relent). i prefer the tinted lights myself and as its my car, my decision oh and you can get P plate GTI's, just very rare. £3K's pretty much in my garage - as i've said, results will be obvious soon enough. few years time this car will under go alot more work, but need to do some serious saving first. chances are by the end of it this car will owe me over £10K. but it will be perfect Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
