i paid around 800 for a P reg escort 1.8 si

i am 22 with 3 years no claims, driving since 17 and it is fully comp insurance with legal cover etc

and i live in manchester which doesn't help

It really doesnt. I moved from 4 miles from Stockport (SK8 postcode) to Manchester (M14 postcode) and my insurance premium doubled. I could knock a 1/3 off the premium if I move 1/4 mile down the road into an M20 postcode. Fcuking insurance.

M20 aint much better! mine is about £1100 on a 2002 Vectra V6 SRi and thats in M20, it seems this area is used as a throughfare for all the scrotes going between Burnage, Wythenshawe and the estate on the otherside of Wilmslow Rd with stolen cars, even though the area itself isn't bad vehicle crime wise!

  • 1 month later...

mine has just gone up which annoyed me...was going to say another word but thought against it lol!

Age: 31

Car: P reg 1.6 lx 5 door

Paying: £420 fc with protected no claims, full breakdown and home start cover, plus windscreen cover and 3rd party insurance on other peoples cars

My worse insurance was when I 1st passed my test and my 2nd car was a Suzuki Swift GTi with all mods declared, it was £800 tpf&t with no breakdown or anything, not that I needed it anyway as it was ultra reliable! Dam I miss that car
