Did i buy the wrong one?

OK so i bought a Hoffman decat off of Ebay for 97 quid all in and when i rang the fitting shop around the corner he said that there are 2 types of Cat for an Escort MK6, one at the front and one underneath so to speak. The one i bought is for underneath apparently. My question is this:

 

What cat does a MK6 R reg 1.8i GTi have?

 

Cant get to the garage till monday but i'm now stressing that i might have bought the wrong one

The close couple cats where fitted to the newer escorts iirc, yours should be the under body cat

Im pretty sure Stoos is on the down pipe, and thats an N plater

I've only ever seen close coupled on X plate Escorts - every other car has been underfloor.

As Ian said about the stoos cabby, mums 1.8 95 cabby has it just off the manifold, but my old gti and my old V reg finesse had the cat under the floor

Have a look at the pipe under the car, it will be quite obvious if there is a cat underneath or not...

I'm 99% sure my old p reg had the cat at the front near the manifold

My r reg cat is underfloor also ,well the surround is there but theres nothing in it ,as took all the gubbins out hence decated
