LiamGTR
Coming home a few minutes ago literally just around the corner, loads of little kids with there parents walking home from infants (so 3-6 year olds) all smiling jumping laughing etc. Then one stupid little kid steps FULLY onto the road to wave a stick at my car so I immediately swirved to the other side of the road (lucky there was no cars coming I didn't even check, my fault?) Horn gets blown as hard I could a.s.a.p and stopped the car so I could turn around to show my displeasure at the parents....And instead of getting their kid off the road and giving him a good smack... I see the parents giving ME the fingers, shouting, cursing, fists waving etc. and god knows what else.... WTF!?! I felt like getting out and giving them both a tounge lashing infront of the hundreds of kids and parents but with that kind of family its not worth it if you know what I mean. Now i'm far from the best parent,...i'm not even parent! But when I have my little nephew I know how to take care of him and ESPECIALLY when we are out and about, i'm nearly crushing the poor lads hand i'm holding it that hard Some people seriously shouldn't be able to reproduce Rant over, any similar experiences? KNITERIDER
why didnt you give them a tongue lashing? i would be furiouse! not the same but parenting fail again. with mrs n littlen at bowling nearing end of our go and people waiting for next go with 4 youngish kids. there running all over the shop infront of out ally, and the space to which you bowl from (i almost brained one with my big ball (sorry couldnt resist!) and they do...nothing! i politely requested they temove there kids fromt he vicinity of my ball (there i go again!) untill it is there turn to bowl (when we have finished our game) bring back smacking, bring back the school cain and bring back decent prison terms! ps you would have been in the wrong if you had caused a crash from swerving. 88-XR3i
remember, the last thing you want to do with some parents is hurt their kid! Would stop them claiming their free money haha!
KNITERIDER
ps, there should be licencing scheme on who can have children and a cap on nubers to unless fully supported by parents wage and income has been similar for certain amount of time (like taking out a mortgage) you cant drive a car without a licence but you can create a life which can harm many others life freely...and get paid for it! LiamGTR
why didnt you give them a tongue lashing? i would be furiouse!Few reasons really,My mam was in the car and she didn't want to make a fuss (but was equally as pissed off and shocked!)It's a main road so would have instantly caused a traffic jams (especially at leaving school hours)and like I said...it wouldn't have done anything to that kind of family she would have just shrugged it off or gave me a load of abuse back infront of her kid(s) :nutter: :nutter: P.S. Bit daft how i'd be in the rubbish if I caused a crash, I can see why but think it's wrong at the same time but obviously the person I ht would be completely innocent but surely it's better than killing a little kid as there was no way I would have been able to stop before I hit him he literally stepped out less than a metre from the car... Unless the parents offered to foot the repair bills (and probably a wrote off Escort) because of their little rubbish.

PeeWee
I did have an incident whilst coming home once from work. My journey takes me through a national speed limit country road, it the reduces to 30mph quite rightly as theres a school after the bend. I always slow there to well under 30mph but one day theres a woman with a kid on the corner stepping out & she screams "maniac" as I pass her at roughly 25mph (i can only assume my low gear & deep exhaust sound gave her a wrong impression). Im thinking, wtf you cant win pmsl. She was obviously crossing in a dangerous position on a corner out of sight from oncoming motorists. I agree with this to an extent, but its too hard to apply, which does suck! I see many unemployed people with 3 kids or more that have a more cushy life than I do and I work! They have holidays, nicer car, nicer house, great amount of xmas presents etc! Does wind me up, but what can you do! I enjoy the fact that I am a working parent, I have my own kid with my other half, another on the way, and I pay and care for her oldest who isnt mine, but I treat the same as my own kids...Unfortunately, her oldest kids old man doesnt want to know But anyway, thats another joy of the UK way! Back to the topic, it does annoy me when people let their kids, or even dog, just run around and pay no attention, then when they are in the wrong, you have a go, and get abuse back with them blaming you for whatever! Its as if their kid or whatever is an angel, and your the devil of it all! Some people unfortunately have no respect!

Unless the parents offered to foot the repair bills (and probably a wrote off Escort) because of their little rubbish. my mum would be going loopy lol id have stopped the car bang in the middle of the road. wrong of me? yes, but something so close to life or death, the fact id have to live with it and more to the point i might need a new car because of it id be out the car like a dog on fire. (amusing little story: mum n dad (before i was born) driving back after collecting a pizza, going down narrow road with cars up one side so room for only one car, 3/4 of the way down car comes up the road then get son the horn telling them to move even tho its their rite of way, after insults are thrown and traffic is building up my dad quietly says, theres no rush mate weve got a pizza in here take your time. they sit there with all the cars honking open there pizza and start munching...needless to say within a minute or two the idiot backed up and naturall order was resumed.
