sidrick
Magnecor leads (not arrived yet) Hopefully they won't break whilst you still own the car - were they super cheap? Circa £65.
Stu
If you bought them mail-order i'd be making the most of the distance selling regs.

sidrick
http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/SDC10396.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/SDC10395.jpg This arrived and was fitted today. Seems to have more urgency within the power band and gives a smoother ride through the gears. How much of this is down to K&N being better than O.E. and how much is down to the old filter being filthy and due for replacement, is open to debate. Very happy overall though A word of advice when buying aftermarket panel filters is to go by the O.E. part number for your existing filter. After not being convinced by the dimensions of the filters that K&N, eurocarparts and sellers on ebay were recommending, I went by the part number I had from ETKA. All of the above said this part number was only for Audi S2 models, but I went with it anyway. Obviously it's the right one

sidrick
This morning I replaced my coolant temp sensor which will hopefully sort out the occasional hesitation I get after the first 2 mins of starting the car: Newy bluey:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/SDC10398.jpg Oldy mouldy:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/SDC10399.jpg

sidrick
that radiator did look nice Aye, I can't wait to get it installed! I should have mentioned that it's a pattern part (New from Audi is circa £350!) from Autokool_ltd on ebay - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Discount-Cooling Great company and sourced the radiator and listed it especially for me (I'd bookmarked it about 6 months ago, and they no longer stocked it, so I e-mailed them to see if they could still get me one)! sidrick
Went in this morning for it's timing belt, drive belt, PAS belt, tensioner, dampner, water pump, radiator and some lovely G12 coolant. Pics are poop as they're from my phone and I was wary about looking like a bit of a gimp taking photos in the garage. Radiator out and aux belts off:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/Photo0010.jpg Water pump out:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/Photo0012.jpg Water pump in:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/Photo0013.jpg New belt, tensioner and dampner (stupid design):http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/Photo0014.jpg All done :http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/Photo0017.jpg
caled
Wow, thats a pretty major service + radiator. Must've set you back a pretty penny? I really should do one of these threads for my car. Edited April 30, 2011 by caled
sidrick
Wow, thats a pretty major service + radiator. Must've set you back a pretty penny? I really should do one of these threads for my car. Just £60 labour (my mate said he wanted nothing, but I couldn't allow that!), plus the cost of parts. On this car, selling with a new timing belt & water pump would probably add £200 to the value of the car (or rather, not take £200 off the value, if you know what I mean?), so in my mind, it works out about even. I'd like to see a thread on you car. I think it should be a mandatory part of EVO. I love looking back on old projects/stories.
