Ahmotorsport
Good day on the Imp today. Took her into work. Popped the new rad in along with the fan switch and fresh coolant. Ran it up, no leaks, got it up to temperature, fan switch came in and brought the temperature back down to half way on the gauge. Switched it off and walked away for 15 minutes. Came back to it, drove it to the cleaning bay and it cut out and wouldn't start again. The problem i thought i had cured, i hadn't. Right. Got out, removed a ht lead, bridged the starter solenoid, yes, i've got spark. Took the fuel line off the pump. No, i have no fuel. Sucked the fuel up and tried again, still no fuel. There's an easy way to cure this. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/20140208_155258_zps0copi2vd.jpg Been perfect so far. Much smoother acceleration, no noticeable difference in power. Not to worry, i've bought some other bits for that. I have got: Twin Stromberg carburettors, which may or may not make it onto the car, but i may end up making a manifold to pop a DCOE or two on it. i'm undecided.Mk2 Cylinder headSports 4-2 exhaust manifold.Flywheel to lighten as the car will want a clutch soon. My idea is to build a complete cylinder head on the bench, fairly decent spec, ported, raised compression ratio and i reckon i can cut away the standard seats to suit the bigger sports valves which are 2mm bigger on the Inlet. Then i can just swap the heads over. That should take me up to 60-65 brake or so. She also had another clean up today. If the weather is nice tomorrow i'll get the polish out again. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1622091_10202469162161692_251867730_n_zpsc9d78bb2.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1618625_10202469160441649_1053961341_n_zps1d6c86c8.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1779249_10202469160161642_2093361204_n_zps0b3ec9f5.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1623752_10202469160841659_966148143_n_zpse6303d30.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1891108_10202469159801633_438126628_n_zps5104693e.jpg

Ahmotorsport
Boogity boogity boogity! Watch this thread! Good news folks. Carbs and Zorst arrived today, couldn't believe how small they are! Need a couple of bits for the carbs, plus a good rebuild. Zorst needs cleaning, painting and wrapping. Other than that, solid. Hooopefully, if the old man is feeling generous, he'll let me mod it and build it all there, so a possible start on it tomorrow! Also, working for KAP Fiat has driven me around the twist, so i'm soon to be working for Vauxhall, for a considerable pay rise. I'm not overly keen on Vauxhalls, but when you work on Fiats and Peugeots all day, anything must be better! Furthermore, it will be weekly paid, so i will be paid from my current employer on the 4th of March and start Vauxhall on the 10th, providing i get paid for the first week, i'll be laughing and the Imp could have a near 1k spent on it. We shall see. Pickchaaaaaaaaars! http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1902043_10202508397182543_1480367131_n_zpsec3c28e4.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1507073_10202508397742557_209480924_n_zps97425698.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae68/Ahmotorsport/1743475_10202508397502551_1936390417_n_zps6d3438f9.jpg
