stevmo3691
I never said which forums I posted on well if we review my mk1:purchased for £1000 from enthusiast who had tow bar fitted in order to use a tiny trailer so he wouldnt get the boot dirty and used to do concourse (and win) in a mk1 escort RS2000 and was an air con technician so fully serviced aircon so, unusual for car of that age, aircon is ice coldcoming with recaros, pro refurbed ST200 alloys, professionally tinted windows, top end rebuild using either genuine ford or upgrade partswhen sold will have a full years MOT and be washed, polished and waxed At present only faults with it are:front brakes poor performance (common mk1/2 fault with sliders jamming) - being fixed by fitting ST's almost new standard callipers and carriers with EBC discs and padshandbrake travel at limitdirty (not been washed for a while)on steel wheels (not for long)slight damage to bottom of front over bumper (need to be looking under car to see) and small rust patch starting to form on o/side outer sill - both jobs were quoted at around £150-200 back in december however as I cant presently get the car taken to body shop for works they cant be done by me genuine 86,000 miles on an 18 year old mondeo with lots of receipts/service stamps worth more than your average one and I'm not just selling it to anyone - its an enthusiasts car and will be sold to an enthusiast not for peanuts for someone to ruin and take engine out of

Stu
What is there to be enthused about with a plain mk1 Mondeo that's been chav'd up?
Ahmotorsport
Stevmo, i think you're in dream land. The car simply isn't worth it, it's a Mk1 Mondeo at the end of the day and personally, i think you've ruined it. As i said before my Mums immaculate standard Mk1 V6 with full service history and MOT certificates scraped £750 and we looked everywhere. If you get that dollar for it i'll take my hat off to you.
