Looking good, that's one very clean and rust free shell

Havent stopped by for a while.

Cars so clean and I wonder if black sideskirts would look good if you kept the bumpers black

Don't it'll look tacky!

LOL.. I agree ..

Got the calipers, discs etc etc all on its way for the front now.. I can feel a day off work coming up...Watch this space :thumb:

Nice, informative photos about the differences in parts between the various outputs.

Cheers.. It might save someone a bit of working out ..

Mk3 Mondy Calipers are at the post office waiting for me.. I got a good deal too, 24 quid inc p&p for the pair :thumb:

I miss my classic fords, but parts @ these prices do remind me why I like this car sooooo much lol..

I can feel a tinkering day coming

It can give me a rest from project garage build!

Visual differences again.. Right is a standard 2 litre TB, Left is one is modified for the alloy inlet manifold..

To swap the alloy escort linkage system you have to drill out the white lever to take the bigger spindle (9.5mm stepped into 11.5mm i think it was)

Then reshape the cable bracket to fit a different mounting point near the throttle hard stop (center of pic below). As you can see i welded a washer to it to make it reach the bolt .. To get full throttle you will need to notch the throttle body base as seen at the bottom of the lower pic. The rest is just odd tweaking checking all works correct and smoothly.

Its surprising what time is used modding these smaller bits for the 2 litre conversion

My cheap calipers have arrived :thumb:

Roll on dry weather and ill fit them! 300mm here we come :thumb:
