Today's progress..

I thought of many ideas for mounting the Oil pressure gauge, I fear if I just start slapping gauges about it may lead to other slack mods making it a chavy motor 8o

Before you know it I'll be hanging around chip shops wearing a pair of pumps :P

So I got a piece of old dash trim like so...

Standard before hacker time!

Getting there, butted in as close as i could.. just super glue'd the edges to hold it in position for the first fix..

I managed to cut most of the shaping with a set of snap-on tin snips..

Next bit is to make the mount for the gauge and bond it to the inside of the panel, may beef it all up inside with resin or something, haven't thought that far yet LOL.. Then i hope to blend the joints and repaint satin black all before i need to drive it a week Friday..

More updates as it progresses

awesome mate, thats what i would do if i was going to mount another gauge.

Cheers

There is enough room behind the panel but you do need to open it up a bit..

Here's today's update..

After a second coat of glue and a rough rub down I ended up with this as the raw structure...

So i offered it up to the dash "without the nasty clips!" to see what gets in the way

So I made a hole, you might notice its an odd shape.. Thats because the dash is stepped so some of it clears the switch without mods 8)

So this is where I'm up to .. It sits in with plug fitted etc..

Next job will be fabricating the gauge mounting panel to fit on the inside of the black panel Ive been working on :)
