SLEEMAN Posted December 13, 2012 Author Share Posted December 13, 2012 nice! they do sound nice on a st170 engine! will get looking around and if i get one i will get it prepped up, and port the head out. i will probably lock off the vct unless the management i have can take it. i was looking around for different managements on the market i would love omex, emerald or any of the top notch ones, but i have seen how good value the mtech v4 ecu is, comes with so many options and wiring loom and a free hour of mapping to get the best setup that i can use. need opinions on management if you guys would kindly give some great advice! also injectors, mtech do sell reconditioned bosch 330cc injectors for a very good price. so for a estimated 150-200bhp would these be good for the setup on the 1.8? just need the injectors, manifold adaptor, fuel pressure regulator and management to finish it off, can anyone recommend me a good price on products and where from? best price i got so far is around £970! for the above! any recommendations? Mtech v4 is just megasquirt. You can DIY your own for about £200 if feeling brave. Your 1.8 is never going to make 150-200bhp with just ITB's so you don't need more than standard Mondeo/Focus 200cc injectors. The ST170 will want 300cc'ish injectors though, again you can find these from a gazillion production cars these days (ebay for cheap). SLEEMAN Posted December 13, 2012 Author Share Posted December 13, 2012 oh is it? so basically just a tarted up version of megasquirt with a bigger pricetag and a new label? i rather it be plug and play or i can have a go at re wiring but not building it up from scratch so probably look for a second hand set. i do know of one guy selling omex 600 with a wiring loom, lets see if he still has it next year lol! also injectors i have seen a set of re manufactured 250cc red top fed injectors on ebay for a great price, would you think they would do? mondeo and focus injectors are side aren't they so i would top ones for this setup! what do you think??
