mexico_16v
I will be adding a carbon roof scoop to the carbon roof skin, yes. It'll be a better scoop than the one I already have though. Sweet, what are the wires hanging from the steering coloum?

Mike C
I'm going to get a 100% carbon fibre tailgate made, taken from a mould of my existing one. It weighs soooo much, and a carbon one (proper, not fibreglass with a bit of carbon lashed on like most) will weigh a couple of kg. Also not going to bother with the struts and hinges, just 4 pins and lift it off completely, as it will be light enough. Same goes with the bonnet and 2 pins on the front bumper for ease of fitting and to make it all quick release. Means all the hinges and lock mechanisms can be binned to save further weight. Spoiler will be staying, but having the blade powder coated black, all the fixings anodised black, and the end pieces re-made in carbon fibre. Nadine
the bumper looks awesome! it all blends well looks like it was meant to be that way from the start
Mike C
Well that was the idea when Pete first made the bumper, to keep the lines flowing perfectly, and when I added the arches, the bumpers were tweaked a little more to keep the same thing going. And yeah Chris, as Stoo says, a full T45 cage, FIA approved, will be the same basic shape as a full WRC Cosworth cage, but with a few extra bits too

Stu
Do you really need T45 Mike? It's a fair chunk more expensive than CDS and doesn't save you a huge amount of weight!
Mike C
There was only just over £100 in it between the two, so that didn't bother me too much. In terms of weight, every little helps anyway
Stu
Fair enough, you must be getting an exceptional price then - T45 was about 30% more expensive than CDS2 last time I enquired.

Actually, looking at the prices it was nearer £250 more. That still seems pretty good to me though.
