I hit a focus once. about 5mph, surprisingly though not one bit of damage.

My escort, cracked bumper, slam panel intruding into engine bay, radiator mashed and crushed and AC radiator squashed back.

Somehow the focus refectedall the damage to me....

The guy was a funny fcuker and started complaining and telling meall these things he hoped wernt broke.

I have visions of him going to the local garage and telling them hes just been rear ended can they fix the damage. To which they just reply by laughing their asses off and saying ''what damage??''

i rear ended a avensis 3 years ago at quite a high speed. My front end nearly folded in half and his rear bumper had a thumb sized depression in it,and his left rear light lense came away form the housing, and that is it. so high speed impacts dont nesecarily mean mega damage to both cars

I rear ended a avensis about 7 years ago in mk5, My car was bent in half the engine was poking into the passenger compartment and bonnet was tickling the top of my head via the sun roof. He had a hair line crack running the length of his rear bumper.

But as Tom has been saying, and what i noticed straight away is that the damage is nearside, if the driver was coming from the behind they'd have to be driving on the crub to hit tha corner :S

I was parked ON the road NEXT to the KERB, NOT on IT okay :nutter: she came flying down the road and into the back of me, obviously a last ditch attempt made her steer AWAY from my car, making the collision more severe to the passenger side of HER car and the passenger side of MY car...

Not rocket science is it?

Car is now at the repair centre and ive got a lovely KA courtesy car, pile of toss

well if she'd have SWERVED to avoid your car.. and struck your NEARSIDE.. wouldnt it have been her DRIVERS side damaged?? the only way her nearside and your nearside could both be damaged was for her to have MOUNTED the kerb you were parked NEXT to...... Edited by Escort_2f2f

Looking at it, i would say you were backing out of a space and slipped of the clutch, hitting her while she was waiting, so because you were going faster, her car took the damage. Result? You feel a numpty and try to pass it off as her fault.

Result of that, one hell of a lot of abuse.
