lol!

but aye this engines staying, just spent a few quid on new rings, shells, valves, and pumps for it. although still need to buy gaskets, bolts, a cam, and a few other wee bits.

ive got alot of parts VERY cheap compared to usual prices, but this is the harsh reality than rebuilds arent cheap.

ive built a wee bench thats a hell of a lot cleaner than the one in the pic to rebuild the engine on too, out of the way of dirt/dust and general shite that you'll find in my garage lol.

wee update, as ive smoothed my rear doors i wanted something to open the doors, well ive found something and fitted it.

I decided to use.. boot raisers!

it opens a little more forcefully than i wouldve liked but with using different lifters i'll find one that suits a bit better.

all i need now to get my engine rebuild are piston rings, oil pump and a cam kit.

then my pistons are off to be machined (-40thous), head skimmed and pressure tested then its ready to be rebuilt and fitted!

then the bodywork should start to follow suit, most of its done, just some final smoothing on the arches and fixinf any little imperfections before i even think about painting it.
