I'll dig out the warrenty on the clutch (Should still have plenty of time left on it)... if it turns out to be the clutch at fault it will get repaired for free. (Parts and labour warrenty)

It made it all the way from Crewe to Frodsham like that before I took it off the road... You should have tried it then! :pancake:

I'll be interested to find out what the problem was exactly... as I only had an idea!

Watch it turn out to be something very simple, cheap and only a 5min job...

Escort 1.4 CVH Gearbox on eBay <-- that's the £125 one... they are charging for postage now though.

Says 98-2001 but the finis code matches the current box.

Stick a RST lump in! It's already got the mounts ready!

all in due time my dear fella, all in due time

gonna try a "known-good" scrapper box first to see if that solves the problem, depending on its condition (and if it solves the problem obviously) might just leave it in till Im ready to re-lump it :thumb:

This will either go exceptionally well, or disasterously wrong. I shall be interested in the result.

Oh, and try not to spray paint your house again! lol

nar..... the blue was growing on the missus, dont think Ill get away with black :pancake:

and wtf ya mean disasterously wrong?????

As is the case with anything being made i.e a one off, it could go wrong. Or you could take the skirts off and find that the sills come with them etc....
