so, woke in a decidedly motivated mood today..... strange really considering the massive amount of JD I consumed last night :pancake:

early doors (before the sun came out and made my life harder for outside spraying)....

bulge bonnet came back of for a lot of prep work and sand down....

Happy with the prep I got on with a nice few solid coats of primer....

figured while I was semi covered in filler dust and half hardened filler Id address the grill recess(were the ford badge can often be found, allways intended to smooth it out....looks so much better with colour)....

You don't need to... It was already there when you bought it

looking good , be careful with that pound land primer though it likes to react lol

poundlands greys non-to-bad aslong as you remove the laqceur completely before spraying over (thats what commonly causes the reaction issue when using any primer), besides which Ill be throwing a couple of high build primer coats ontop of all that so I can address any stone chip indents I might have missed. :thumb:

Is the bumper the right colour already?

Massive improvement over the base model one, but crying out for the headlights!

luckily it appears to be yer..... minor shade difference but that'll probably reduce once Ive had the wings and bodywork mopped post spraying.

the lights aernt a massive issue at the moment, they can be picked up and installed anytime so I aint to fussed about chasing them right now

been playing with a adaption idea concerning the wing fitted indicators,

personally allways preffered the more curvy Mk6 indys rather than the "cars got 2 pimples" mk5 version.

so set about figuring a way of doing it without actually having to cut the Mk5's wing to accomodate the larger Mk6 indicator housing....

eventually came up with this, well tbf only a rough approximation of what they'll eventually look like.....
