danposs86
so set about figuring a way of doing it without actually having to cut the Mk5's wing to accomodate the larger Mk6 indicator housing.... Dont need to cut anything, break the clips of the back of a mk6 set of side repeaters and then simply use the thin number plate sticky pads to stick them in place, works a treat, did it on my old 5b. Aded bonus is I can remove and replace the entire thing at a moments notice if I get bored of them or sell the car off in the future
shawdreamer
couple of shots of the finished items..... might ease back the tint tho? (still get clear visable light through the lense's.... just a matter of my own taste really). http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21222.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21223.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21224.jpgya gonna have to forgive the state of the bodys paint, lifetime worth of shallow depth scratches to be adressed once the painting has been done

shawdreamer
courtesy of a quick swap with Pete(Peewee), he even delivered em in his pink mobile!!.... http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21357.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21358.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/21359.jpg their in need of a bit of a refurb and some new rubber but nothing Pete hadnt been 100% honest about and as swaps go it was a bargain my end tbf the damage to the polished outer rims is pretty bad tho only really severe on the one I singled out in the above pic, that being said the damage is enough to rule out any polishing repair technique (theres a hefty chunk missing thats just visable at the top of the pic) so I'll be using a bit of metal based filler to sort out the nastys then using some high reflectivity silver trim paint to get some of that chrome appearance back. though the black looks pretty deep in the pics its actually suffered a bit of fading so they'll be getting a fresh solid black gloss coat too, maybe even ash black if I try one first to see how it looks. massivewangers
Not for me. With a bit of work, it will like a decent RS, why make it look like an LX

escortjas
Its getting there, and i think the two-tone will work well with the wolfrace alloys.
