PeeWee
Biggest joke in gaming history this is pmsl. Tease with screenshots & talk of the greatest racing game to grace a console to sell stock then constantly put it back, its a game ffs, i have never heard so much tripe in my life. The way it is going Pete, I would not be suprised if it was NOT the greatest racing game to Grace a console..... I wonder what the hold back is this time? The thing is, wasnt this promissed way back during the launch big up of the Ps3? Its not good really especially with the likes of the 360 hitting out with Forza 3, maybe they had a bit of a shock & forza is indeed better than their long awaited gt so had to go back into developement to ensure they saved face?Myself, I have every console here including handhelds except a ps3 & certainly wont be getting this overpriced blue ray player tbh. Lee_2f2f
Correct Pete, the Hype was Gran Tourismo 5 when the PS3 was released.... but it was put back and a prologue was released.... GT5 is the only reason I got a PS3. They are loosing Fans more & more, soon I will be heading over to the 360 as I believe Forza 3 is Ace. Craig855S
The problem is Polyphony digital and Sony have barely said a word about GT5 in the last 5 years. They only really say stuff at the gaming conventions (of which there are 2 or 3 a year) and everything you read in mags etc is mostly just rumours from random people and not the developers themselves. Ref your email Lee, As I said months ago, GT5 isn't due out until AT LEAST MARCH, but more likely june at the earliest in europe so whoever you have pre-ordered it from don't know what theyre talking about and never have. GT5 never had a release date until september this year when they announced march 2010, before september PD had never speculated on any date so all dates you heard were rumours made by god-knows-who. Craig855S
Yes, It was announced 2 weeks ago that the March release date in Japan is cancelled due to "production/developement issues" and they have not committed themselves to a new date, only saying they "hope to have it out by Q4 of 2010 at the latest" and it has since come out that "Q4 2010" may well be reffering to the financial year 2010, so as late as march 2011...when Forza 4 could be nearly ready. Its a Fcuking shambles but hopefully the game will be far and away better than anything we've ever seen..... But to be honest im doubting it, Yes the graphics and physics are gonna be amazing but I highly doubt they have have weather effects, time of day effects and a livery editor Nor will they have reverse lights....classic GT
Craig855S
This is just a rumour but im putting it out there....the reason for the delay could be that the game may be entirely 3D ready for the launch of 3DTVs later this year... If so it makes a bit of sense, otherwise 2D GT5 would be shat on by games coming out in 2011 which will be 3D (such as forza 4 or the next need for speed game) Edited February 12, 2010 by Craig855S

Craig855S
2:15 in the AI actually shows some intelligence for the first time in history, if GT is an epic game with no intelligence then GT5 is gonna be super
danposs86
You mean the one car at the end that swerved? If there was intelligence wouldnt the all them cars from 2nd place onwards panic at the car stationary in front of them, looks like so parade lap. Craig855S
Yeah it is a bit confusing that the guy who passed behind the back bumper didnt really give a lot of clearance, and the huge group of cars that went through next looked as though they would have piled into him like a train if he didnt reverse when he did...but the white supra. Intelligence! As said its only a tiny bit of intelligence, but that's never happened in any GT beforeAll that matters is that GT5 will be the best looking and handling driving sim for consoles EVER and it has online, meaning you can race with real people all the time, so what if the AI will probably be wank, NFS: Shift and forza are both slightly entertaining games but they lack the attention to detail that GT has, and as for shifts glitches...they make that game unplayable in some cars/tracks
