I rebooked it on Friday. The 23rd of this month was the next available slot, so it's in for then.

I might see if I can have it in to my work before then though.

I'm definitely selling it once it's MOT'd though. There's been too much blood, sweat, stress and money wasted on it to enjoy driving it.

I've been looking at 318is's with better bodywork, E36 325i's and am tempted by knightrider's 320i E30, but it'll be a massive mission to get it up here.

Well he's not gonna profit from it is he? He's spent so much on it.

Sid I say drive it and see. You may sell it to buy another only to find it's a shitter also. At least you know this one has brand new parts here and there.

What have you spent on it including buying it and what do you value it at now? (with the MOT)

I've probably spent about a grand, give or take, but I've not worked it out. I'd be looking for £850 on standard wheels with a years ticket.

This stud used to be a bolt, but the head snapped off during an apparently easy unscrewing....

Mole grips wont clamp it.

Heat and penetrating oil haven't helped.

It's too small for the stud extractor and my screw extractor.

You cant get a drill in there without seperating the hub and replacing the bearing, which isn't a DIY driveway job.

Suggestions.

Well, I snapped the bold off and drilled it out. Moving the car up and down the drive would suggest that the ABS light has been sorted with that new sensor, so that's a boost.

What is not a boost is that my wheels are clearly from a 5 series, and moving the car the length of the driveway resulted in a lot of scraping from the back, so they've been swapped for the originals and will be sold. Is there any 5 series forum members here that can advertise them for me?

Photos from today:

Reckon I ecountered some rust??

As it stood with the tractor wheels and one fog light (sigh):

I like the look, but if it's a daily driver, then it's pointless having mahoosive wheels.

Back on the originals and ready for the MOT:
