Well I have had this car a few years now and in that time done a few mods generaly as I went along. Saying that, I never got around to giving it the whole PeeWee treatment. As with my previous two Escorts I had a vision of what I wanted in mind & indeed aquired the relevent parts to put my ideas into action. Unfortunatly due to lack of time I simply didnt get around to doing the serious work & attention this required. My rear arch that had started very minor gradually got worse & rotted to quite a state. I sourced a bodyshop (spoke to several that didnt impress me) but this guy was perfect to my needs. I had discussions with him over the arch & colour matching then we moved onto the goodies I wanted doing. He picked the car up on the 9th after I finished work & returned it a week later having fully done all I requested perfectly (first time I have found someone honest to his word & with quality results.

Anyway heres how I bought the car.

very nice mate, i bet your well happy with it :D

Quite a transformation , are there spacers on the wheels or are they a pug offset

The wheels are offset like that, no spacers & gives it a nicer stance. The colour is very hard to capture & looks rather different in reality (those who saw it today may have noticed this). It was the colour that drew me to it, its unique in that only Escort cabriolets were made in spring violet purple. Yes Im very pleased with the result as it is exactly how I had it planned & thanks for the comments.
assumiong its as it left the factory i have seen the colour in person... but as i said i think the front looks good! bit of a fat arse IMO though :P
That looks a million times better pete, i really quite like it :)
I think this car should come to more shows?
I hate those front bumpers but it looks so right on this car, Not thought about colour coded bump strips and maybe a rear spoiler? :thumb:
as with all your cars - the rear lights aint to my taste but that looks lovely - dont touch it !

Looks fantastic, a proper evolution.

Looks a lot more modern than the standard car as well and the headlights set the bumper off a treat. Can´t wait to fit mine now :-)

Rigpig

was epecting a right shed, but really like that.

wahey not a scoop in sight!

Colour code the door strips and it's bob on :thumb:

looks really smart mate. :thumb:

Looked great yesterday, the sun was really showing off the paint.

Side bump strips do need colour coding though :P

Also get a Seat splitter on it.
