Well seeing as it was a nice day today it seemed a good time to fit some new bits and update the thread a little :). First on the agenda...getting rid of the mould under the spoiler from being stood for over 4 years

Its not how well there fitted thats the issue, granted you seem to have had the HIDs set slightly more dipped than the standard and the thought your giving to other drivers is admirable and it will no doubt aid in the accidental dazzling of on coming drivers.

but.

its the HIDs coupled with standard HL lenses that makes them so troublesome, the lenses cant disperse the intensity of light produced by HIDs, which means that the little bit of light that normally escapes the direction angles of the lenses with standard bulbs is actually alot more powerful in HID's, to the point of almost standard "full beam" intensity.

Ive seen a few people using HID tape templates on the lenses of late and that seems to sort most of the issue, dunno were their getting them from though as atleast the set I saw up close looked like a manufactured item as appose to a bit of insulation tape slapped on.

Yeah, I wound them down and a bit more to the left to prevent as much dazzling as I could although I know it's not going to be perfect. My main concern is dazzle and so far I've had no one flash me and people I've been behind have said they're brighter than standard but not to the extent they can't see. The reason I've asked is because a friend of mine has HID's and they are just pure dazzle...to the extent you have to move all your mirrors :(

REALLY nice pic :thumb:

Thanks mate :thumb: it's one of my favourite I've taken in a long time

proper nice motor mate.

Thanks mate :)

Nice updates and good pics :) The HIDs look dazzling even from the photo though :\

Thank you. They are dazzling in photos...partly to do with the camera not being able to process the light...hence my car looks very red but probably more to do with the fact they are brighter than standard :(

mint!

Thanks matey :thumb: nothing like yours....yours is super clean!

what exhaust do you have on your car?

A 4 or 4 and a 1/2 inch outwardly rolled power flow backbox. Standard 1.8 centre and a decat :)

Love it pal, good to see it getting some love again :)

Thank you very much mate :D

Looks spot on :D

Cheers :D
