Flat_Steve
I arrived at 9:30 having left at 6 and spent the next hour parked in traffic trying to get in I can see why you guys got there soooo early now!! As mentioned before the marshalls were useless and tried to send me in any direction but to our stand, though luckily Ian was with us so we just ignored them and drove straight up. TBH the day went far too quick, there was no end of cars, gear and girls to gawk at, and trying to summarise it or pick out anything memorable is impossible 'cos there was so much cool shite going on! Stuff I drooled over included a bunch of RX7's, a pair of Ariel Atoms (ever seen anything more mental?), an old-skool Cortina with a Zetec on TB's, some old Sierra overtaking all and sundry on the track, including a Porsche GT3 (well it was Reyland's Cossie, but you know what I mean...) and Mr Bean racing Skylines in his 1982 Metro (The backfire sounded like a baby burping!) The organisers at least scored a hat-trick by putting the MkV, Evo and RS2000 stands next to each other so the Escort clubs got good coverage! Makes a nice change IMO, here's hoping to us getting a photo in one of the mags that were there! As I spent nearly the entire day walking around the stands I didn't really see or speak to many of the Evo members and I forgot Wax was there, would've liked to have talked to my fellow Walesian... Oh yeah, I don't suppose anyone's got a photo or two of my car by any chance? I've noticed most of the pics were taken long before I arrived, but I can't find any pics of Darth on any of the sites i've visited.

Was a great show - my first with TheMkVR, seemed that the two clubs got on very well Some great looking cars on your stand, I love the car that used to belong to EvoPete with the twin exhaust. Looking forward to the next show, here are a few of my pics. apologies about the size. TheMKVR Stand My car on the stand - try not to laugh My engine bay Sorry, dont know the name of who this is, nice wheels though, the same ones I plan to get. How big? Waxmonkey
got loadsa pics of Joncles racing as well. Watching the racing..... I hope this is Jonkles car.... I just saw a silver car belt past every so often so I took a snap. We then realised it was time for Ian's debut performance of a ballet Al had written especially for traxx - 'Praying for NOS'. The idea is the ballet dancers simulate praying for a can of NOS to the Gods, but nasty Ian dressed as the devil in red is out to spoil it for them as he wants the fastest car in all the kingdom. As you can tell, Lee couldn't be arsed cos no-one fell over performing, but it moved poor Nukels to tears.
