Escort MK6 Stainless Steel Exhaust?-Advice Needed

Hi all, would like to know peoples advice on the following. The middle box on my car is starting to rattle so I thought I would see if anyone was selling a stainless steel one. Come across this one which was described as good as new and only covering 3-4k but am not sure if it is stainless steel. The tailpipe looks it but after that it just looks like a coated metal which I have seen before and was told it was coated stainless steel. On the first picture on the edge near the mounting rubber there appears to be a split so I thought if it was stainless steel that wouldn't happen and also the pipes would be, not just standard looking. I have attached some pictures so you can see, thanks. PS If anyone does have a full stainless steel exhaust for sale let me know, thanks.

I thought the magnex was too quiet i have a scorpion with no centre box,(bit loud) but i love my piper system.

magnex is extremely quiet, if fitted to a 1.6 it makes no more noise than the standard system

i know this because ive tried a scoorpion, a magnex and a mongoose on my escort

Cheers for all the replies guys, really appreciate it. My first thought when I seen the pictures was that it wasn't stainless steel because of the shiny tailpipe and not so shiny back box. Like I said I was too it was coated stainless steel but the pipes would be as well. Was told it cost £354/£390 new (I know, two different amounts for some reason) the had it advertised for £95, got them down to £65 but I had doubts so glad I didn't bother. I would like it to sound more throaty but are there any pitfalls of buying a used exhaust as I can't afford a brand new one and would I be right in saying that the Scorpion with no centre box would be ideal for cars which are lowered because mine is and the middle scrapes on speed bumps and now and again where are dips in roads and I think that's what has caused it to start rattling. Cheers again people :thumb:

You gave your scorpion system and protech to supersport? Do you mean for free and did you by it new?

yeah for free....im a nice guy like that. can only fit 1 system to a car at once lol n my favorite out of the 3 i had was the mongoose so i kept that one

they were both second hand, but stainless steel so as i said before it makes no difference as it will never rust or corrode
