  • 3 weeks later...

Small update.

The car is now home from the garage, its only taken 3 weeks! woo hoo :drunk:

However it did cost £360, and it had some knocked off cos I know the chap

But I now have my 300mm front brake upgrade fitted.

My disk rear beam fitted.

Tow strap fitted.

New n/s cv boot fitted.

Fuel pump fitted, so now it starts :)

However, a new battery had to be bought as well as find a replacement alternator as mine was smoking like er.......a smoker with a 60 a day habit 8o

Hoping to get on the car monday/tuesday and get cracking. Lots to do and not a lot of time to get it all done!

Tow strap Phil ;)

Also took out arch liners to clean up the inside. This is inside the liner behind the wing. Usually a lot of soggy crap gathers here and starts to rust. This hasnt been out in the elements so No rust at all. :thumb:

A collection above of the crap from the n/s. The pile from the o/s is 4 times the size 8o . All dry dirt though so no worries.

My Need for speed neon lights were finally removed. Skirts were srewed into place along with some silicone along the top edge. Next time requires getting the fibreglass out and blending into the front/rear wings.

Front bumper has now had hole cut for tow strap. Hockey sticks still need fitting. Splitter needs a way of securing along the top edge ( no room for srews or bolts) I dont think the masking tape look will catch on!

Also my replacement alternator got delivered today so hope to fit over the weekend. :thumb:

So whats the bhp gain I can expect from an overspray out line of the cam cover in white!?

Pfft, about 10bhp I think, that was done on a dyno day, I dont have a picture of the print out though.

You gonna be ready for Ford Fair?
