sidrick
You see this on Jalopnik? Beasting cars, huh. Can you imagine a 4x4 311bhp Estate back in 1994? Practically the norm nowadays. Your electric window regulator looks very Audi 80! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-80-Electric...01#ht_500wt_949 Nah, nothing like it at all mate. The coupe one comes with a whole frame for the regulator. The 80 saloon/avant has an upper door frame that the coupe doesn't, so the coupe needs extra rigidity in the regulator design. Thanks for looking though, and I'll happily ship a case of beer/cider anywhere in the UK if someone can locate one for me. To clarify, I need a drivers window regulator from a pre-1992 Audi coupe with electric windows. Good luck :|
JC
Tried the online breakers? {hit and miss} eg http://www.247spares.co.uk/ http://www.breakeryard.com/
sidrick
Tried them both. Got one reply in total, paid for the part and then got a phone call saying it was fcuked when they removed it from the car. Tried most things I can think of, and I used to be a storeman for a German garage, so have a decent amount of contacts We'll see what Monday brings, I guess. Motor is fine and independant of the regulator, thankfully. Cable just seized completely so had to be cut to secure the window in the closed position. Common fault apparently, hence my issue sourcing a second hand one.

Ahmotorsport
What i mean is, you can't use a cable from another vehicle? There must be something to suit. Failing that, have you thought about a custom made cable?

sidrick
Lets hope its the right one. Arrived today. It's not. Not sure I could be any more angry at a 'specialist breaker' who doesn't know wtf they're selling despite being asked 3 times to confirm it's definitely what I'm after.
