ChrisW
Did you do passplus? That helped me.
geordie_aaron
Nah no PassPlus, when I told my insurance I did, it didn't go down even as much as the cost of the course would have cost, so I was just honest and said I didn't do it. Ahh. This is Liam, i'm at Aarons and just realised still on his account. Edited June 4, 2010 by geordie_aaron
stevmo3691
why dont you try putting one of our number plates through on an insurance comparison site with your details and see what you get. stupidly insurance also takes into account cost of repair (parts etc) and on a 3rd party f&t policy they wont ever pay out other than if its nicked or torched that still affects it and that might not be helping. also try adding people as named drivers. i added my brother as a named driver, 24, licence for 5 years, 5 yrs NCB, clean licence etc and he saved me £400 odd - and i still dont let him drive it only didnt add my parents as my mum keeps crashing into things (women drivers) and my dad has dvla aware medical condition with 3 yearly renewal of licence so they increase it. food for thought though. as an 18 year old with no ncb i paid £2k for my rover 214. as a 19 year old with 1 years ncb on my escort 1.8 i'm paying just shy of 1k

KNITERIDER
looks horrible the recess needs to go only way that will work is with a smooth boot and bumper. looks bodged on halfords style. and i do believe the plate has to be a specific size as well, my parents got warned about their motorbike ones as they need to have the correct sized plate border and numbers. ruined a good looking standard car ps there still illegal as they must show where thay were made and have the barcode thing on them
Lee_2f2f
I like the Private plate Liam Nice one! I still smile when I see my private plate, makes it all that more Personal to you. Personally mate I would have Regular sized plates, it looks odd! Get original sized plates with the GB part on it. will look fine then.

Thanks, yea i'm glad I finally done it and got it registered this morning i've wanted one before I wanted a car, and don't worry, I work at Halfords, so i'll make myself some regular sized plates tonight, i'll be keeping these though for in the future incase I ever buy a car that looks nice with short plates.
